Storage and Despatch is a fast moving highly skilled discipline within the Logistics industry.

PCL Transport Ltd operates 3 temperature regimes of “Ambient”, “Chilled” (between 0°C and +5°C) and "Frozen" (-24°C).

Our 70,000 sq foot Warehouses operate over 24/7 period.

Current Warehouse activities are:

• Fresh Milk assembly in tetratainers. 2,500 orders per day assembled / checked and loaded.
• 2000 Stock Tetratainers received from 3 external customer production sites in South East over a 24 hour period.
• Fresh Milk Pallet operation - High bay Chilled Warehousing. 1800 pallet spaces available.
• Pallet assembly and loading to major multiple food retailer.
• Food Service Consolidation.

70 Trained Warehouse operatives.

JIT Operation. Just under 1 days stockholding on products delivered with 10 days maximum life and a minimum life to customer of 8 days.

Stock Rotation and control.

The latest information technology - SAP R3 Stock Control and Order systems manage the large quantity of data. Our customers can access their stock levels in real time via electronic communication.

Our Warehouses are serviced by the latest mechanical handling equipment including Reach and Pallet trucks and specialist tetratainer trucks for fresh milk movements.

We pride ourselves on our excellent Service Levels issued by our customers, which at Sept '06 was at 99.40% accuracy level.
